Lauren Sura serves as the global ethanol programs coordinator for the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council, a non-profit organization that operates globally to promote the use of U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products including ethanol. In this capacity, Sura organizes Council ethanol programming around the world while increasing community knowledge of biofuel opportunities and creating positive impacts on environment sustainability and international development.
Prior to joining the Council, Sura lived in South Korea studying language, history and culture. Additionally, Sura worked as a private contractor with other DC nonprofits on education development and conflict resolution programming.
Sura holds a bachelor degree in public relations from East Carolina University and two master’s degrees in international and intercultural communication from American University and in Korean studies from Korea University.
