On April 27, Haksoo Kim, U.S. Grains Council (USGC) director in South Korea visited Tae Young Grain Terminal in Pyeongtaek port with two Korean purchasing groups to witness the unloading of U.S. corn and check the quality. Both groups agreed the quality of the U.S. 2020/21 crop was superior, with good color and very low incidences of broken corn and foreign material (BCFM). The visit is part of a larger program the Council’s Korea office is preparing to showcase the transparency of the U.S. corn export system that will include a virtual corn crop tour later this year.
