In March 2019, Chip Councell visited with Tereza Cristina, Brazil’s minister of agriculture, during a MAIZALL board meeting hosted by Brazilian member organization, ABRAMILHO, in Brasilia. MAIZALL, the international maize alliance, is a coalition of maize farmer associations from Argentina, Brazil and the United States working together to share expertise and information and to address trade barriers. Councell’s yearlong tenure as president of MAIZALL concluded June 30.
