U.S. Grains Council (USGC) Director of Trade Policy Andrew Brandt and Past Chairman Darren Armstrong recently traveled to Germany and Brussels with MAIZALL, a coalition of maize farmer associations from Argentina, Brazil and the United States. While there, the group met with key government officials, trade associations and farmers to advocate for science-based decision making on biotechnology, food security and the importance of open international trade. The group also learned more about agricultural and trade policies in the European Union. Pictured, Brandt (second from right), Armstrong (fourth from left) and the group visited the German Farmers’ Association, Deutscher Bauernverband.
