U.S. Grains Council (USGC) Director of Trade Policy Andrew Brandt (standing) recently presented the benefits of biotechnology and the global regulatory hurdles biotech crops must complete before being commercialized at the African Poultry Conference held in Kigali, Rwanda. Brandt spoke to poultry industry leaders from numerous African countries about how the European Union and other major markets must approve biotechnology traits before they are sold to farmers and enter the grain supply.
