Panama Viejo Tour

2pm – 4pm

Explore the archaeological site of Panama Viejo, the original 16th-century settlement and the oldest European-founded city on the Pacific coast of the Americas. Guests will walk among the ruins of churches, convents, plazas, and the iconic cathedral tower while learning about the city’s founding, its role in colonial trade, and its dramatic destruction by pirate Henry Morgan. This guided tour offers a captivating window into Panama’s earliest history and its enduring cultural legacy.

Cost: $60 spouse/guest

Includes: roundtrip transportation, expert tour guide, and entrance to the historic attraction

Welcome to Panama Dinner Experience

7pm – 10pm

Experience a vibrant and unforgettable event at one of Panama’s most exclusive venues—the Cruise Terminal, a space unlike any other in the country, rarely used for private events. USGBC guests will enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Panama City, while enjoying a live band, dinner and networking.

Cost: Included in registration for registered members and spouse/guest attendees. Additional $130 for guests attending the offsite only.

Charter Experience – Panama Canal

6am – 1pm

Join USGBC for a narrated transit through the Panama Canal, crossing the full width of the Isthmus from Panama City on the Pacific Ocean to Colón on the Caribbean Sea. Along the journey, guests will pass through the Miraflores and Pedro Miguel Locks, navigate the historic Culebra Cut, and continue toward Gamboa, gaining insight into the Canal’s engineering marvels and its vital role in global trade. Along the way guests will have the opportunity to hear from USGBC staff during an onboard general session.

Cost: Included in registration for registered members/ additional $125 for spouse/guest attendees.

Includes: Ground transportation, entrance fees, tour guide on board, and breakfast and lunch on board the ferry (during transit)

Casco Antiguo – Coffee & Rum Tasting

1:30pm – 4:30pm

Guests will enjoy a guided exploration of Panama’s historic Casco Antiguo, divided into two groups of 25 for a personalized experience. The tour features two exclusive tastings:

  • Geisha Coffee Experience (30 min): A sensory journey through Panama’s renowned coffee culture, from cultivation to cup, with expert-led tastings highlighting distinct flavor profiles.
  • Pedro Mandinga Rum Tasting (30 min): A deep dive into the art of Panamanian rum-making, including a guided tasting that showcases the craftsmanship and character of Pedro Mandinga’s signature rums.

Groups will rotate between experiences before returning to their hotels, having enjoyed a rich blend of culture, flavor, and history in Panama’s vibrant old quarter.
