Ibrahim is a native of Istanbul. Upon graduating from Istanbul Marmara University School of Business Administration in 1976 he worked for Xerox Corporation for two years under the AIESEC International program. He later was admitted to the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) where he received his Masters of International Management(MIM) Degree. During his masters’ studies, Ibrahim was included in a summer internship program at the United Nations headquarters in New York City.
Upon graduation, he worked in Saudi Arabia and Turkey mostly in food and other items marketing that required travel in the Middle East.
Ibrahim joined USDA FAS Office in Istanbul in December 1989 and worked until February 2020 as a senior agricultural specialist dealing with all aspects of agricultural issues and products.
