Amit Sachdev serves a a consultant based in New Delhi for the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council, a non-profit organization that promotes the use of U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products worldwide. In this capacity, he works closely with end-users and policy-makers alike. Sachdev provides end-users with updates on U.S. commodity prices and acts as a liaison with the traders in the region for importing U.S. commodities. He works closely with policy-makers in the countries in the region in the industry to provide information on policy changes that are required for smooth trade.
Sachdev runs an independent consulting company since he graduated in 1987 and came back to India in 1991 after his tenure in Europe.
Sachdev holds a bachelor’s degree from G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, in agriculture and animal husbandry and has farm management training for poultry and dairy from Europe.
