Ryan LeGrand serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer for the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council (USGBC), a non-profit organization that promotes the global use of U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products including ethanol and distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS).

The Council has nine international offices, with representation in 30 countries and programming in more than 70 countries worldwide. The Council supports global economic development through partnerships, enabling U.S. agriculture’s profitability.

LeGrand brings decades of experience in export grain trading and market development. Fluent in Spanish, LeGrand spent much of his career in Mexico. Before joining the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council, he began his career as an export trader at Garvey International before going on to lead multinational teams at Hawkeye Gold and Gavilon.

LeGrand also serves as Vice Chair of the Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee, a joint committee of the United States Trade Representative and the U.S. Department of Agriculture and is a member of the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy Negotiations, a presidentially appointed advisory committee to the United States Trade Representative.

LeGrand grew up in Oklahoma and earned a degree in International Business from Oklahoma State University.
