Rowena Awa Ngumbang serves as regional marketing manager in the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council’s Southeast Asia & Oceania office. The U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council is a non-profit organization that promotes the global use of U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products including ethanol and distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS).
Ngumbang brings over a decade of diverse experience in agricultural trade marketing and strategic communications. Most recently, she served as the agricultural marketing specialist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this capacity, she managed market promotion activities, resolved market access issues and provided overall support to U.S. agricultural exports to Malaysia.
Ngumbang also worked as marketing and communication manager at UOA Hospitality Sdn. Bhd., where she led strategic public relations and marketing efforts.
She holds an executive MBA and a bachelor’s degree in communication and media studies from Universiti Teknology MARA. She is also an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM, United Kingdom).
