The U.S. Grains Council (USGC) submitted its Unified Export Strategy (UES) to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service (USDA’s FAS) this week. As the organization’s operational blueprint, the UES contains background on the Council’s global markets, activity evaluations and long-term strategies for promoting coarse grains and related products. Through the UES, the Council applies for funding from USDA’s market development and export promotion programs, including the Market Access Program (MAP) and Foreign Market Development (FMD) program.
