Joana Hassan serves as the manager of global ethanol programs for the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council, a non-profit organization that promotes the global use of U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products including ethanol and distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS). In this capacity, Hassan helps scale up global ethanol resources, implements programs and develops strategy for ethanol market development efforts.
Hassan previously served the Council as the ethanol programs coordinator, where she provided support to the global ethanol market development team, organized staff and member travel for visiting teams, facilitated program planning, correspondence, reports, and handled data management and contracting.
Hassan earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Mount Holyoke College, and a master’s degree in business and management from the University of Maryland, College Park.
